By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Recognise and respond to emergencies involving infants and children.
• Perform CPR and safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for children and babies.
• Manage choking, unconsciousness, bleeding, burns, fractures, and head injuries.
• Provide first aid for common childhood medical conditions such as asthma, seizures, anaphylaxis, and febrile illness.
• Place a child or infant in the recovery position and monitor vital signs.
• Understand the roles, responsibilities, and legal requirements of a paediatric first aider, including incident reporting.
• Maintain a safe environment and take preventive measures to reduce the risk of injury.
